Authorities are looking for a Colorado State University pupil on springtime break and a charter boat staff member whom moved missing in turbulent Tampa Bay-area seas.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s workplace, 15 CSU students had been on a charter boat anchored Tuesday night off Shell Key whenever five male pupils moved swimming.
Deputies said the men became caught in fast-moving currents. Neither wore a flotation product. Coast Guard officials say the missing pupil is Jie Luo, 21, of China, while the missing staff member is Andrew Dillman, 27, of brand new York.
Colorado State University spokesman Mike Hooker expressed concern for pupils and team user in a statement Wednesday. He said no additional information was available.
“The protection and well being of your students is our main priority therefore we are very worried to listen to of what features occurred in Florida. Our company is collecting details and when we find out more from police force, we're going to share information we are able to supply. The ideas and hope of your CSU community tend to be for security of our students involved in this event, using the lacking student and charter spouse and people and buddies of those involved, and also for the safety of relief crews who are mixed up in search.”
